  My wife and I had spend the day at Hearst Castle and were staying a town over in San Simeon and needing some dinner. The few options there that sounded interesting were closed so we looked for Cambria and came across Black Cat Bistro.
  
  Another town without many options and the stellar reviews we saw gave us pause. Was Black Cat Bistro really this good or just the best of the local options? Well... When we finished our meals I'll just say that my wife wanted to lick the sauce off her plate. Not because she was still hungry (she was stuffed) because it was just THAT GOOD.
  
  Yes, the ratings are deserved for the quality of food here.
  
  For an appetizer we split the pork belly for dessert and it was out of this world amazing. For dinner she went with the chipotle shrimp linguini and I had the rare seared albacore tuna.
  
  With the appetizers and meals there just wasn't room for more. We tried to order one and just couldn't bring ourselves to so we can't comment on the desserts but if they are anything even remotely like the meals you just can't go wrong.
  
  Nice waitress, quick on the refills, great atmosphere. A nice little stop on our way down the coast!

  Thought it was perfect - small -yes quaint. Delicious food several times and wonderful service.... Expensive? Perhaps just a tad - but hey it's Cambria - where gas is 64 cents a gallon higher than where I came from. (In california - not out-of-state.
